About music makers
Welcome to Music Makers
This is a training choir for children who are in P3 and P4.
In Music Makers, as well as learning songs for concerts, we continue with singing games and warm-up activities. The children develop their singing and learn about music, musical performance and being a member of a choir. Music is carefully introduced, beginning with a simple melodic line and words to enable children to become familiar with reading music.
The children prepare and rehearse music for the three concerts each year; the repertoire is diverse, and the aim is to have children singing with a good unison sound and to introduce some simple part singing.
P4s are invited, after the first few weeks, to stay for an extra 15 minutes to further develop their musicianship skills.
