If you are interested in singing, you will love being a member of Dunfermline Junior Chorus.
Dunfermline Junior Chorus has four choirs.
Wee Music Makers – Tuesday (P2)
Music Makers – Thursday (P3 & 4)
Junior Choir – Thursday (P5 – 7)
Senior Choir – Thursday (S1 – 6)
Our repertoire is diverse and ranges from African to Gospel to Traditional and Popular. We perform a minimum of 3 concerts per year.
Joining
Joining Dunfermline Junior Chorus is a great way to enjoy singing and make friends. It’s fun, it’s exciting, and it gives young singers the best possible chance to develop their talents. We have been enjoying singing as a chorus since 2005.
We are open to children and young people from Primary 2 to 7 and Secondary 1 to 6. Membership is open to all interested children and young people, and there is no pre-requisite for admission.
Rehearsals
Wee Music Makers rehearse on Tuesday evenings. Music Makers, the Junior Choir and the Senior Choir rehearse on Thursday evenings. All rehearsals are held in Hope City Church (formerly The Vine Conference Centre) , 131, Garvock Hill, Dunfermline, KY11 4JU. See the Rehearsal Diaries here.
Our season is split into 3 terms and the cost is £50 per term for the Senior and Junior choirs, and £45 for the Music Makers and Wee Music Makers. There is a £5 per term discount for a family membership.
Dunfermline Junior Chorus is professionally managed and has an unblemished record of caring for young people. The safety of members is of the highest priority.
